Say Goodbye to the Na-Na

stuffing them in
a little unsure of giving it up
A few weeks ago I decided that it was time for Lillie to get rid of her pacifiers. She only really wanted one when she was napping or at bedtime. But this never stopped her from sticking one in when she found one on the floor!! Lillie started calling them her na-na. I had heard of people taking their kid to Build-A-Bear and had them put their pacifiers in their animal. So I asked Lillie if she wanted to exchange her na-na's for a bear. She said yes so we gathered up all of the pacifiers around the house and headed early on Saturday morning. When we got there the machine was broken but they stuffed her dog (that is what she wanted) by hand. At the end they let her kiss all of her na-na's goodbye and put them in. She was a little unsure of putting the last one in! So we now have Na-Na dog or Na-Na Oscar as Lillie calls her! She has done pretty good without them. First few nights were a little ruff but after about 3 nights of her waking up wanting it in the middle of the night she is sleeping perfectly without it. She does have her moments when she will ask for her na-na but I will get her her dog. She did have one time that she tried to open up the dog to get one out!!! Lillie we are so proud of you, you are becoming such a big girl!

We will be back soon!

Sorry that I have not updated in forever but we are having problems getting Internet at our house! This is one joy of the move to the out skirts of town! I hope that we will get something figured out soon so that I can return to the blogging world. So stay tuned for a post sometime in the near future.

And please keep Evan in your prayers next Friday (27th). He will be having surgery at Baptist. It is an out patient procedure but it still makes me nervous that he has to have something done.

Lots of New Post Below

We have lots of catching up to do. Our internet at the new house is a little crazy and so sometimes it works and most of the time it does not!! So I have borrowed Grandad and G's computer to do a marathon of posting!! Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon and I can post more often! But we are for the most part we are enjoying our new house. It is very quiet out there with only one neighbor! The kids are enjoying the freedom of roaming around with very little traffic in the area. I am still unpacking and getting things settled as well as waiting for the painter to finish his job!! So will try to get some pics as soon as everything gets some order!

Olivia Grace came to Visit!

We got a visit by Leslie and Olivia Grace the other day!!! We were so excited to see them. Evan was not very good at sharing his toys with her I guess because he thought that she wanted to take his trains home with her when she only wanted to play with them! But it was so good to see both of them and to play a quick catch up. I am looking forward to heading their way for a girls weekend very soon!!!!!!

So Independent

Miss Lillie is about to be 20 months old!!! I can't believe she is so close to two!!!! She is a mess these days. I had cleaned out her drawer the other day and left some of the clothes that she has

outgrown on her floor. Well I guess she thought that she was not ready to part with them because she gathered all up and carried them around saying mine, mine. Then while I was getting ready she decided to get herself ready with the same clothes and this is what I found. She put her shirt on around her waist. I took it off and went on to finish getting ready and found her again with the same thing only she took her pants of the second time! This is the only way she ever puts on clothes even when I am trying to put her shirt on she wants to put her legs through it to get it on! But she is always so proud of herself when she does these things because she did it all by herself!

Eliot's Birthday

Evan's friend Eliot had his third birthday last weekend. It was a the Benton Skate Center and it was a Bring your own Wheels party. The kids got to ride around the skating rink on their favorite ride on toys. They also had one of the plastic roller coasters to ride on as well. Both of the kids had a blast!
